Mitsubishi XD280U - DLP projector - 3000 ANSI lumens
The Mitsubishi XD280U Mobile XGA Projector with 3000 lumens of projection power at a 2000:1 contrast ratio is a fully-featured, versatile and powerful unit that can light up any medium to large home media room, schoolroom or boardroom. That room will be filled with a crisp, vivid image thanks to the XD280U's 0.55" Texas Instruments BrilliantColor imaging panel.
And it can be just about anywhere in the world. This projector has a 100 – 240 volt 50/60 Hz power supply and it can accept and project NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, PAL-60 and SECAM signals as well as 720p (750p 50/60 Hz) and 1080i (1125i 50/60 Hz) high definition signals.
With all those international standards it's a good thing the onscreen display (OSD) offers a choice of eleven languages.
This projector can display closed captioning from sources that provide it. CC comes in handy not only for the hard of hearing but also for those learning English as a foreign language. And it can help you get your message across in noisy environments too.
The XD280U's built-in RJ45 jack enables you to plug the projector into your LAN for remote monitoring and control.
This projector can do a lot but one thing you don't want it to do is mysteriously disappear. In addition to password protecting various functions you have a physical security measure: A Kensington slot to accept an optional Kensington lock.
- 3000 Lumens And a 2000:1 Contrast Ratio
- You've got the projection power you need to present in medium to large rooms even with some ambient light present, as when your audience needs to take notes.
- BrilliantColor DMD DLP Panel
- The panel is where the image is formed in a projector. Texas Instruments is generally acknowledged as the maker of the finest panels. You'll find their Digital Micromirror Display Digital Light Processing technology in the top projectors of many brands. It's not hard to understand why. BrilliantColor increases color accuracy while it increases color brightness by up to 50 percent. What's more, DLP projectors require no filters that have to be periodically cleaned and replaced.
- Low Operating Cost
- DLP's filter-free technology, a long estimated lamp life of up to 6000 hours (in Low mode), and a low power standby mode of less than one watt all contribute to the XD280U's low operating cost and low maintenance frequency
- Quick, Easy Menu
- For improved ease of use, the tool bar has seven basic main menu options and one custom menu. Menu selection is so simple and easy, you don't have to be a computer geek to figure it out.
- Top-Loading Lamp Simplifies Maintenance
- Whether it's sitting on a shelf or suspended from the ceiling, lamp replacement is simple and easy. With its convenient top access lamp design, there's never a need to move the whole projector.
- Network Ready With RJ45 (Ethernet) Jack
- You can plug your XD280U into your LAN and set it up for remote monitoring and control in just a few minutes. With the ProjectorView Global+ software you can check the status of projectors on your network, remotely turn them on and off, switch their inputs and perform other functions. (The program is a free download at the Mitsubishi Web site.)
- Broadcast Messages Across Your LAN to Multiple Projectors With Visual PA
- Using one computer equipped with projector-control software you can create and send messages (up to 350 characters long) in real-time to projectors connected to the LAN. It's ideal for broadcasting important information such as weather updates, schedule changes and the like to multiple rooms on the LAN.
- Accepts More Than 50 Different Signal Types
- The XD280U can accept more than 50 different signal types. They're various flavors of standard, enhanced and high definition TV signals in NTSC, PAL and SECAM plus more than 40 computer standards that include not just PC and Macintosh but a few pretty obscure SUN and SGI standards.
- 10 Watt Speaker + Audio Mix For Excellent Sound Projection
- The built-in high-volume 10 watt speaker eliminates the need for an external speaker. By using the Audio Mix feature and a wireless microphone (not included), your voice is amplified loud and clear every time.
- Multiple Security Measures Protect Your Investment
- You can capture an image to make a splash screen that appears when the projector is powered up. And you can password protect it from being changed. You can also password protect operation of the projector and you can password protect operation of the projector's buttons (the remote will still work) to prevent inadvertent settings changes. For physical security there's a Kensington slot for an optional Kensington lock.
